A creative idea born to bring people closer, transform and make memories
Othuka began in December 2019 with a simple idea filled with purpose: to bring children closer to their parents and guardians through play, creativity and shared experiences.
From the beginning, traditional games gave us a special way to connect generations — bringing back games, challenges and ways of playing that form part of our identity but had gradually begun to disappear.
Recycling was part of us from day one
Reuse has shaped how Othuka creates since the very beginning. We show that materials that seem to have no purpose can become toys, decorations and entirely new experiences.
International recognition
Our dedication to recycling received international recognition when Othuka took part in a Best Recycler nomination at a ceremony held in Ethiopia.
New experiences and achievements
We participated in the Creative Youth Gala and attended conferences in Morocco and Kenya, sharing a vision built in Mozambique: creativity, sustainability and impact can move forward together.

From play to recycling, from events to decoration, our journey led us to flowers and arrangements — another way to communicate feelings, celebrate people and turn moments into memories.
